In February of this year, I began making a series of collages after a long absence from art making. I set myself up to the task of completing 24 collages, all 8" x 10". I began cutting up cereal boxes and gravitated eventually towards using a collection of postcards I had inherited from my mother. My initial objective was nothing more than just getting back to work and in that respect, the goal has been achieved. Almost immediately after starting the series, different objectives began to take hold and here I am at number 24 and ready to take on another goal. These 2 collages were the first ones.
